PRESENTED BY: A New Pachamama Alliance Program Is Launching
Faith In Action: An Interfaith Leadership Journey for Justice and the Living Earth
What becomes possible when people of different faiths and spiritual traditions come together
to care for our communities and our Earth?
Faith In Action is a 12-session Pachamama Alliance program designed to help you connect your spiritual grounding and values with meaningful action for climate and social justice.
The training is built around three interconnected pillars:
CREATE SOLUTIONS
Develop or strengthen a real-world action project that matters to you and your community.
ADDRESS SOCIAL INEQUITIES
Recognize and respond to the systemic dimensions of climate and other justice challenges.
HEAL OUR SENSE OF SEPARATION
Cultivate a deeper connection with one another, our communities and the Earth.
A Supportive Journey: The course is built around a small, supportive cohort ( 5–7 participants) with two coaches, and provides an opportunity to develop a new action project or strengthen one you are already pursuing.
* Practical skills for turning values into action
* Leadership confidence and capacity to act and inspire others
* A stronger connection to your values and your community’s needs
* Sustainable leadership practices to support self-awareness, emotional resilience, and long-term engagement
We’ll also explore our relationship with the Earth as a source of inspiration, renewal, and guidance. The Earth Listening Practice will continue to help ground us and open our hearts, minds and spirits to the world around us.

We would also be very grateful for your suggestions of people, faith communities, or organizations who might be interested in participating. We hope you’ll join us in exploring what becomes possible when faith, community, and action come together.

Poems and Readings:
Lutheran Minister Martin Niemoeller poem: (use this version from Holocaust memorial in Boston, MA.)
They came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up
because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up
because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up
because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.
Community means Strength by Starhawk
We are all longing to go home to someplace
we have never been—a place half-remembered and half-envisioned
we can only catch glimpses of from time to time.
Community.
Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion
without having the words catch in our throats.
Somewhere a circle of hands
will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter,
voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power.
Community means strength
that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done.
Arms to hold us when we falter.
A circle of healing.
A circle of friends.
Someplace where we can be free.

from Sacred Instructions by Sherri Mitchell
Kciye means “Harmony with the Natural World” -- This teaches us that it is not enough to know that we are part of one living system. We must also take active steps to live in harmony with the rest of creation. This means that we cannot adopt attitudes or beliefs that place us above the natural world. We cannot see ourselves as having dominion over the land, the water, or the animals. We cannot even see ourselves as being stewards of the Earth. We are only keepers of a way of life that is in harmony with the Earth. Every day, we must act in ways that acknowledge that we are part of one living system, a unified whole.
